Staples: Strip & Lube

Strip & Lube

Strip & Lube

Lancome Bi-Facil  / philosophy purity made simple cleansing oil  / Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Cream Cleanser / Cetaphil Normal-to-Oily Daily Facial Cleanser  / St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub / Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask (oops, not the scrub in the picture!)  / Shiseido Benefiance / Olay Complete SPF 30 Sensitive Skin / Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair / The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter / Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Penetrating Oil

These products are my tried and true beauty weapons.  As you can see, I’m not terribly picky about high or low end products, provided they are actually effective.  Also apparent – I like to be extremely moisturized.

Like any other beauty junkie, I’ve strayed and have a shamefully large hoard of other goodies that caught my eye and that I need to use up, but these are the staples that have given me consistently great results and that I keep coming back to (some of them for years – I have been using the Neutrogena Acne wash and St. Ives scrub since high school).  The Shiseido eye cream and Estee Lauder serum are more recent additions, given the changing needs of my maturing skin (life changes after you hit 30, yes indeedy).

I also need to give a special shout out to Head & Shoulders shampoo, plain ole Vaseline, and the white Dove beauty bar (not shown) – all amazing classics with high nostalgia factor that probably deserve their own posts.

What are your non-makeup staples?
